Police Officer- Pulaski Township, Lawrence County, PA Pulaski Township is currently accepting applications for Full Time and Part time Police officer positions. Qualifications include: Applicant must be 21 years old before the deadline of application. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have Act 120 qualification by the time of appointment. Possess a valid driver’s license. Must be a citizen of the United States. Must be physically and mentally fit to perform the essential duties of a police officer. Must be able to speak, read and write the English Language. Must be able to pass a medical exam, psychological exam, drug test and background investigation. Must be of good moral character and possess excellent communication skills. Further requirements: Must have knowledge of how to use computers, trained in use of Computer Aided Dispatching (CAD). Be able to use TRACS software for citations and the Penn Dot Crash reporting software. Be able to learn and use proficiently Visual Alert Reporting Software currently in use by the Department. Attend annual re-certification’s as required by M.P.O.E.T.C. including firearms, qualifications, CPR & First Aid. Must be able to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Benefits include: Union Position under the Pulaski Township Police Association - Fulltime Starting wage is $20.00 per hour, Part time is $17.50 per hour (Current Collective Bargaining expired 12/31/2024 with new wages & benefits to be set by the new Collective Bargaining Agreement) Health benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision plans included for Full Time. Vacation after 1st year - 5 days, 2nd year - 10 days, 8 years - 16 days, 9 years - 17 days and 10 years - 20 days Full Time only. 7 Personal days, 6 sick days, 8 paid Holidays 4 floating Paid holidays to be used at your choice. Full Time only. Court overtime - compensations for Common pleas paid 4 hours and Magisterial 2 hours. Pennsylvania Municipal Retirement Pension vested after 12 years of service, 3 Year Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP). Deferred Compensation plan matched up to $2,000.00 per year by Township. $700.00 uniform allowance Full Time, $500.00 part time, Bullet proof vest provided every 5 years. All uniforms and equipment is provided with annual clothing allowance for replacement of duty items. Short term disability. Life insurance policy of $47,000.00.
